Dear Angela and family.
It was my delight to work with Ed at Xavier College, Burke Hall, for many years before he transferred to Kostka Hall. Ed was always ready with a laugh at my jokes which weren’t that funny , or always a kind word. The boys loved him as we fellow teachers did too.
I am so sorry for your loss. Heartfelt condolences.

Dear Angela, Melissa, Jess and Laura,
I had only met Eddie a few times (back in the good old days) but he left a lasting impression on me: someone who was kind, gentle, warm and funny. I immediately got the sense that he would be an amazing husband and father to you and your future children. As time went by, I know that he well and truly surpassed this prediction…
In the coming days, weeks, months and years, I hope that you all find solace in the wonderful memories you have of your beloved Eddie. I am sure that he will live on your hearts forever.
Sending much love and deepest sympathy,

My sincere condolences to Ed’s family and friends.
I was very fortunate to have worked with Ed for a few years at Kostka. He was always such a gentleman who always showed an interest in others. Loved our chats over footy and the quiz at morning breaks.
He will be sadly missed.

It was with sadness that I heard of Ed’s passing. I remember him very well in my years as a Priest at St. Joseph’s Springvale and him teaching in the Primary School. He was a man filled with enthusiasm in his chosen profession as a teacher and was admired and loved by his students and much respected by the members of Staff while he was at St. Joseph’s. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time. I will offer a Mass for the repose his soul. May he rest in peace. ” Well done good and faithful servant.” Fr. Anthony Fox OFMConv.

It was a privilege to have known Ed. His kindness ,gentle manner and warmth made him an exceptional teacher and colleague. I am so grateful for his help and guidance when we worked together. He must have sighed every time I asked him for help with a tech issue. Nothing was ever too much trouble. Those that have benefitted from Ed’s guidance are truly lucky. I keep Ed and his precious family in my thoughts and prayers.
