Our deepest condolences to Carol’s family. We will all miss Carol and remember the times spent with her at the ATO and DHS . We will miss her at our Christmas gatherings, even after we retired where some of us catch up. Will miss meeting her for coffee at Forest Hill chase sometimes.

Carol was my friend from high school to the present day. She fed me with delicious meals, beat me at every sporting or game we played, listed to classical music and went on holidays and adventures with me (and more recently with Gary also).
Always, I repeat always, with a happy smile and a wicked wit. We have lost a sharp, intelligent, talented and amusing friend.
To Merrilyn, Courtney, Ally and Steph …. she loved and admired you all. She spoke with affection and pride. I know you will find solace in the memories you have.

I remember Carol as a fan of all sports, and someone with a great sense of humour, except about the Geelong Football Club, where she was as one-eyed as many of that club’s followers, which I know. We shared many laughs, and jokes, a few of them ribald. I am sure that she will be missed by many who knew her much better than I did.

Carol and I sat together in maths, physics, and chemistry classes at Nunawading High in the late 60s.
In particular I have memories of laughing out of control in every maths class, particularly in year10 , with our friends Robbie and Bruce joining in on the jokes “cracked”, from the desk behind us. The hilarity took over once we were meant to get on with solving the maths problems, once teacher had turned his back on us. I did ALL of my maths work at home after school because I did NONE in class. Carols’ wit was totally effective at dissolving me into uncontrollable giggles which I was trying to stop, which made things worse. That’s a gift! Thank you, Carol, you clever and funny school mate. I will never forget those shared times. Physics was similarly funny! And we all passed well! Rest in peace, my lovely, intelligent and fun making school friend, and condolences to Carol’s sister, Merrilyn and Family – so close to Carol, I know.

What a wonderful tribute to Carol, all those who spoke did her justice. When I heard that Carol had passed away the first thing I thought of was her laugh and the many happy times we had when working together at the Tax Office as well as a few social occasions. My deepest sympathy to all the family, she did love you all dearly and as you were introduced I recalled her speaking often with love of Merrilyn, Courtney and Alexandra. Sleep peacefully beautiful lady, Deb Fitzpatrick
