Babe, you taught my heart to love again. There is not a day that passes where I don’t think of you and imagine you right here with me. Your sudden departure from my world is so surreal. But the truth is you haven’t gone. You are always with me in everything I do, in the music I listen to and in the trees around me. I will forever remain grateful for the many beautiful experiences we shared; our trips away, our conversations, our banter, and all the moments of laughter. You brought much joy to my life and taught me much more than you ever gave yourself credit for. You loved me for who I am. I am blessed to have known the real Jason Chong, a truly beautiful human being. And I remain your Mauritian queen. Finally, rest in peace my love. Your Lil xxx

Oh babe! My days will never be the same without you. Your departure from my world seems surreal until I wake up and I don’t see your beautiful face or hear your familiar voice. But, I feel you with me when I sit out in the sunlight or when I stare out at the trees, the moon and the stars, all things you loved. You will always remain in my heart just as I will always remain your Mauritian Queen. You left me with some of my most beautiful memories. Our conversations, our banter, our time spent listening to music, watching Netflix, our quiz shows, our trips away, our meals together, our laughter and our pains. I am so blessed to have known the real Jason Chong, your beauty inside and out. A truly beautiful person. You taught me so much about love, acceptance and life. I only wish I had known you many years earlier. I may have been your last love, but I am so grateful to have shared those years with you. I miss you so much that my heart aches incessantly. My prayer is that you are finally at rest and pain-free. Whenever we meet again my love, please remember me as I will be looking for you. Thank you Chongy for being such a major part of my life in the last few years. I will always love you. Your Lil. Xx❤️

Dear Chongy,
Words are just that, and may not truly capture the wonderful short lived experience of getting to know you and your precious little girl Chloe. Thank you for all the great times shared with you. Loved all the dining out experiences, New Year’s Eve music trivia fun and charades. Most of all, thank you for being there for my sister Lil throughout her grief and loss of our father and the start of her own journey of challenging health issues. I know you did the best you could. For that, I am truly grateful. It doesn’t end here mate. We will have that celebration in the sky with Billie Holiday! Until then, rest in peace my friend.
Your blister, Deb 🙏✨xo

To uncle Jase,
I feel so lucky to have had an uncle as wonderful as you were. You always were so loving and supportive towards me, always reaching out to check in how I was going and sending through cute animal videos you knew I would love. We went through photo albums the other day, laughing and smiling at each memory of you. There were so many, and I’ll hold them close to my heart forever. I’ll think of you when I visit your favourite places; you loved going to the quarry with Chloe. Chloe has so many similar and beautiful qualities, thanks to your guidance and love. She’s kind to all and grateful for the small things in life, just as you were. Your large friendship circle is so telling of how loved you were and still are. You once told me “we are Chong’s, keep punching and moving forward.” I’ll remember that and think of you. I love you

Reading the way you touched many other people in your life in a positive way, you will most surely be missed. Rest in peace.

Jase,
It was so hard to say a final goodbye to you.
You were the most wonderful, caring Uncle and Godfather to my children. And a funny as brother in law. We all had lots of laughs over the years and I cherish the times we all spent together. We are all feeling so sad to lose such a beautiful man. Saying goodbye was so hard but I’m blessed that I was with you and you were in our lives, even though it was not long enough. You were one of a kind Jase. I will miss our chats and funny messages. We all love you and will miss you so much.
Love always, your blister, Mars Bar
