Buba,
Myself and Sam were so lucky to grow up with you in our lives. You were honest, sharp, fiercely loyal, way ahead of your time and always completely unapologetically yourself. You never held back and you always had our backs.
Some of my favourite memories are the ones where you were just being you. Cooking up your famous banitsa, which somehow never lasted more than five minutes. Stuffing that “secret” cupboard at the stables full of lollies, biscuits and chocolate and absolutely roasting Dado, no matter what he did. The poor bloke couldn’t win.
I loved listening to your stories about growing up in a completely different generation, travelling and all the interesting things you got up to long before I came along. I’ll never forget the night you caught me sneaking out, nothing got past you.
Going out for dinners with you was always an experience. You somehow knew every single waiter in every restaurant, always asked for the best table and made sure we were looked after like royalty.
One thing I’ll always be grateful for is your absolute loyalty as a North Melbourne supporter, not because you loved footy that much, but because you knew everyone else barracked for other teams and you just wanted to back me in.
We’re going to miss you, Buba. But we’ll keep telling your stories, laughing at the memories and feeling proud that we got to call you our buba.

Narda, you will be greatly missed. I’m heartbroken that you are no longer here with us. Thank you for treating my family like your own, Thank you for always checking in on us and thank you for your love. You were never just a friend to us, you were and always will be family. Rest in peace, beautiful Narda.
