Simone passed away peacefully in the early hours of 27th December 2025.
Loving wife to Desmond Melder for 62years.
Mother to Jeremy, David and Julian.
Mother in law to Andia, Jhing, Katherine, Adina and Donna.
Grandmother to Samara, Christopher, Harley, Montana, Levi, Thomas, Lucy, Zaki and Zachary.
Great Grandmother to Winter, Flynn and Perri.
Simone was much loved by all her family and friends.
Her love of music and life will continue to shine through all of us.
Family and Friends are invited to Celebrate Simone's Life
at St Edward's Anglican Church, 59 Edinburgh Road, Blackburn South
on Friday January 9th, 2026 commencing at 10am
We would love to see everyone wearing colour.
Simone loved things bright and colourful.

Simone ( Penny) you were a very loyal and loving friend to Me and Maurice. You were a strong and kind hearted lady who never ever had a bad word for anyone. And in the same way no one ever had a bad word to say about you, your home was always open to everyone and you loved to have friends drop in anytime. You are now with the love of your life Des who meant everything to you, as he did for you too, You will always be missed by everyone but mostly by your loving 3 sons and their families. RIP dearest Penny. Till we meet again someday soon.

Beautiful kind Simone. You were so loving with open arms for everyone. I’ll always cherish your smile and your beautiful voice. My fondest memory of you is when you sang Ave Maria at my wedding.
