Thinking of Aunty Marianne, Jordyn, Arianna and family during this extremely difficult time. Sending you strength and love and know that my heart, my thoughts and prayers, are with you. “Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories shared. And Love continues to live in the memories of the heart”.

To my beautiful girl Debbie,
In no Universe did I think I would ever have to be writing this to you
You are one of the strongest, outgoing women that i ever had the privilege of calling one of my friends for 20 years.
Your smile and your eyes could light up any room even though your sassy attitude was a force to be reckoned with.
I’ll never forget sitting in your mum’s driveway. 17 and a 1/2 years ago, holding your hand while you were in labour and the beautiful daughter that i was so lucky to play Aunty for.
You trusted me to be part of her life all those years ago and I promise you that I will always be there to look out for her if she ever needs me.
I will miss and cherish all the memories with you.
Whether it was three-way spooning with Anu in bed for our girls weekend sleepovers, Hanging out at the beaches, cruising the drags. Or spending New Year’s in you’re mom’s lounge, Playing guitar hero drinking wine with strawberries
My heart is broken
Thank you for being my friend.
Thank you for being my sister.
Thank you for being the crazy light in so many adventures of my life.
I will miss you for the rest of my days.
And I will love you for always and cherish the memories until I get to see you again
I love you.
Rest east Pretty girl xx

To aunty Debs ❤️
First of I would like to say thank you. Thank you for being one of mums bestest friends growing up. Thank you for being that bright bubbly person that brought a smile to everyone as soon as you walked into the door. Thank you for giving me two beautiful cousins Jordan and Ariana, thank you for the times you were with mum and Jordan and I were in the lounge eating our kai (food) together around my little plastic table watching tv but most of all thank you for being one of my god mothers and teaching me that Veges are good for me (lol) Although you moved to Australia the amount of memories I have of us I’ll forever be grateful for. It really saddens me that I’ll never get to see you again until it’s my time however I will always love you and I’ll continue to love you and miss you from afar , lots of love from your niece Jaimie ❤️

Today we are here, hearts heavy with loss,
To remember a soul, and reflect on the cost.
Debbie, you brightened the lives that you touched,
With laughter and kindness, you cared oh so much.
Your spirit was vibrant, your eyes like the sun,
In each moment we shared, our hearts were as one.
Through joy and through struggle, you faced every day,
Your strength and your warmth will never fade.
Though we say goodbye, we hold you so near,
In the love that you gave and the memories dear.
In the stories we share, in the tears that we cry,
Your spirit will linger; it will never say goodbye.
We’ll carry you with us in all that we do,
Forever remembered, forever in view
Forever in my heart, your spirit will stay,
A treasured light that will not fade.
I took a piece of my heart and soul,
For you to take, for you to hold.
Anu
To my dearest Debbie,
No amount of words can even begin to express the sadness in my heart right now, or the amount of love I have for you.
From the very first moment I met you back in the ‘East Flat’ days, you brought life to everyone and everything. Your infectious smile and thirst for adventure led us down some very memorable and crazy situations! But in that moment I learnt what an incredibly loving, kind and giving person you were. You played hard, and you loved even harder. You were never afraid to stick up for yourself or your friends!
Thank you for coming into my life and standing beside me through thick and thin. I will forever cherish our friendship and bond.
Rest easy now my friend. And always know that your OG crew will forever be there for your family. Your beautiful girls will never stop hearing about the love, laughter and light you brought to everyone’s lives.
Until we meet again my beautiful Deb,
Forever in my heart xx
Roxanne, Dc
It’s hard to find the words to say goodbye to you Debbie. From the moment we met we were joined at the hip and completely unstoppable.
We grew up around cars, spent countless hours laughing or crying together, and every moment with you felt like an adventure, especially witnessing the birth of Jordyn showing us how resilient you were!
You are the most incredible mom and you’d always say you learnt from the best – your mum.
Debbie had this incredible, infectious laugh that could brighten even the darkest days, always followed by ” you keen to” and I would always say yup let’s go!
We found our fair share of mischief— we faced the consequences more than once. You’d always laugh & say ” it’s ok we’ll do my parents first then face yours, having south african parents we both would plan the escape but they were onto us everytime.
She was more than just a best friend; she was family to me.
Debbie, you made the world brighter just by being in it. I’m going to miss that laugh, those adventures, and the way you always knew how to turn the simplest moments into something unforgettable. But more than anything, I’m going to miss you.
You’ll always be with me—in my heart, in my memories, and in the love we shared. Rest easy, my dear friend. Until we meet again.

Debbie ❤️
With the thousands of memories running through my mind, I don’t even know how to express them into words.
The highs & lows, the ups & downs. We did them all. No day was the same. Living life to the fullest day in and day out.
Never a dull moment with you around, your infectious laugh & carefree attitude, you were one of a kind no doubt about it.
Thank you so much for being a big part in this crazy journey we all had together for many years.
Memories that will never be forgotten & cherished forever.
All my love to your beautiful girls, family & friends right now.
See you when I get there girl ❤️

Debbie 💜
It’s been a few years since we crossed paths but have and will hold the memories we had growing up threw out intermediate/college and after leaving school when we would bump into each other and get up to the most funniest antics.
Rest in Love my friend 💜

Debbie,
Even tho it’s been awhile since we have seen each other you always put a smile on my face, I miss the old days of hanging out and eating McDonald’s early hours of the morning with the crew, I’ll never forget the first time we crossed paths before we actually got to know each other, we’ll keep that between us lol not your finest moment but it makes me laugh now, rest easy girl 💖 until we meet again 🥰

Debs aka ‘Angry Deb’ 😉
My hockey biatch!! You made me laugh every time we were together, and always made every game interesting. You always stood up for what you believed in, and would be the first one to step up if there was someone that needed back up or a friend. We hadn’t seen each other for a couple of years, I was so excited to see you again the other week, and will just have to wait a little longer to have that catch up coffee.
I hope you are at peace now, you will be sorely missed by anyone who had been graced by your beautiful presence and gorgeous smile.
Sympathies, strength and love to all your family xxoo

Dearest Deb,
I’m still in shock and struggling to come to terms with you gone. Memories of our adventures in the car scene, countless laughs, late-night antics and long conversations are on my mind. I really cherish those endless conversations we had once you moved and how much we would laugh, joke and talk about life. Your friendship was a constant in my life, and I’m grateful for every moment. You left an indelible mark on all of us. Rest in peace, dear Deb. You’ll never be forgotten and I’ll miss you.
Let this be a reminder to everyone, reconnect with old friendships and strengthen new ones. Life’s too short to lose touch.

Deb, although we’ve only known you a short while, and only have a few memories of evenings spent together at the Alehouse with Tyson, Mart & Laraine, we’ll forever remember your energy, vibrancy and laughter. We know that you brought much joy and happiness to Tyson, and you are terribly missed by all.
Robbie
Apologies that I am unable to attend this day in person to honour Debbie’s life and to support you.
Rassie and Mariaan, I know nothing will ever erase the heartbreak of losing your beloved daughter so early in life, but I hope you know that we are all here for you always, and you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Wynand, growing up with Debbie as a twin sister was an adventure filled with laughter, mischief, fun and you formed a special bond, which will leave you with lots of great memories to nurture.
Jordan and Aria, there will never be a day you won’t miss your mum, but carry your love for her wherever you go, and keep the fond memories and lovely stories about your magical mum close to your hearts.
Patrick and Anna, your love and support will always be appreciated and as a close family friend, I thank you guys for your love and support to your partners and I share your grief in this loss.
Tyson, whilst I never met you, I hope you will find peace in this time of loss and my sincere condolences.
The reality is that you will all grieve forever. You will not ‘get over’ the loss of a loved one; you will learn to live with it. You will heal and you will rebuild yourself around the loss you have suffered. You will be whole again, but you will never be the same. Nor should you be the same, nor would you want to.
Death is not the greatest loss in life. The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.
My deepest sympathy for you all – cherish all the wonderful memories and may you all find strength and peace, and may time heal the pain and hurt.
“Remember, when you lose someone, you love, you gain an angel you know.”
Debbie, it is incredibly hard to find the right words in moments like this, and though it’s with a heavy heart that I write this, I want to reflect on the beautiful soul that you were.
A high-spirited girl full of enthusiasm and boundless energy, matured into a bubbly, friendly, interesting adult and mother. I am sorry to see you leave us so young.
May you rest in eternal peace Debbie.
Uncle Robbie.
Teneal
Debbie, I don’t know where to start. You’ve known me my whole life, and forever we’ve called eachother “pretty much cousins.” You were like the big sister I never had growing up. I’ll remember you as the tough, badass woman you were. You lit up the room and always had an infectious laugh. You were an amazing mother, daughter, partner and friend. To Tannie Marianne, Uncle Pat, Oom Rassie, Anna, Vinnie, Tyson, Jordyn and Ariana, I’m so sorry for your loss. Sending you all so much love and strength as you navigate this profound loss. I’m sorry I couldn’t be there today, but what a beautiful tribute it was to our Debbie. May she rest in peace. Lots of love, Teneal. Xx
Yvette
Deb, we were in eachothers lives for such a short time but we had something special. You brought such fun and love into my life. I wish we spent more time together. I remember sharing the ups and downs of bringing our baby girls into this world 7 years ago! We laughed so hard together and shared some amazing moments which are etched on my heart. I love you and always will. I’m so happy you found the love of your life in the end babe xx Forever your ‘wrinkley’ friend. Yvette
