Audemard, Gary

Audemard, Gary

17.12.1942 ~ 03.06.2022

Gary, we will always love you.

Our only regret is that if we had known that the last time we saw you would be the last time we saw you…

we would have hugged you a little tighter, more often than we did.

We would have told you we loved you a little louder. Louder than we ever did…and stayed by your side this whole time.

Our minds know that you are gone but our hearts will never accept it.

    Dear Aunty Leslie and family,
Gary’s love, his ways, the memories you made: these are his gifts to you.
Give your sorrows to the Lord and find peace in this love. We are praying for you to have comfort and feel his grace in your life everyday. Also know we are praying for the repose of Gary’s soul also. May he find eternal rest. Love from Bettina xxoo

My uncle Gary may have been a man of few words but he was still a jovial chap, who politely spoke his mind.
I have only ever witnessed his devotion for Aunty Leslie because Uncle Gary would always patiently sit or stand by Aunty Leslie usually with his arms folded listening to her chitter and chatter and laugh with us all.
We knew he had a fond heart that deeply missed his beloved pet dogs by the way he wept recalling memories on how much he missed them.
How grateful we are to have had the opportunity to visit him for the last time in January. As Stan, James and I sat with Leslie and Gary in their lounge room he spoke of his handmade witches collection. There are a few hanging and scattered in the room. This would be the last surprising detail we would ever hear from Gary.
There is something admirable to be said about a patient man who can stand by his wife til the end. In our hearts, memories and prayers Uncle Gary.
