We are very sad to hear about Janice passing away. Five years ago we – my wife Carola ( also artist ), my son Rafael and me ( both musicians ) had a wonderful sunny winter day with her and her friend Dindy at her beautiful home on the hill talking, laughing and eating wonderful chocolate cake. This could have gone forever… Our deep condolences, sent here from Berlin, go to the family – Rest in peace. Jobst, Carola, Rafael

David Bissett-Powell
Dear Kate,
I will always have fond memories of your mother and your father as I managed to spend a little time with both over the years when I was in Australia. Jan was always so full of life and back in 2011 Mo and I were in Australia and spent a fabulous day with her. I’m sorry for your loss but she leaves an indelible mark on the world with her art and her passions. So long as we remember Jan then she hasn’t really gone.
All our love,
David and Mo Bissett-Powell

BRONWYN TRIMBLE
Dear Kate and Matt,
My thoughts are with you. I first met Janice in the mid-70s, and over the years spent many hours at your family home and other social and theatrical events where your mum shared her creative talents, sincerity and warm friendship. Her engaging spirit and genuine interest in those around her made us feel welcome and part of the fun – and we always left inspired.
With love and respect and admiration, Bronwyn xx

Dear Kate and Matt,
I am deeply saddened to learn , only tonight, of Jan’s passing. She was always so youthful and would seemingly live forever. Gentle, spirited, kind, enthusiastic and energetic. A prolific artist and keen musician. I have fond memories of the many rehearsal nights at your rambling home on the hill and the many gigs we played together. She rekindled my love of music and introduced me to many wonderful musicians for which I am very grateful. Jan was a beautiful spirit and dear friend. I will always remember her with great fondness.
