About ten years ago we attended a car show and noticed Lance polishing his red Mighty Boy. He was in awe when we said that we had a yellow Mighty Boy. That was the beginning of a longstanding solid relationship. We met up with each other at various car shows, something we had in common, but as time went on, we would catch up on weekends for a coffee or even go on our own little car cruise ending in a picnic lunch.
Over time he became a really close friend and we would have long deep conversations over life in general and of course classic cars. We often had him over for dinner and he returned the invitation, sometimes proudly cooking up a classic recipe he had found in that week’s newspaper.
Lance thoroughly enjoyed scouting the backstreets of Lilydale in the Mighty Boy at the times of council hard rubbish pick up, filling the car to the brim with treasures. We would then receive a call “You’ll never guess what I found!”
He would never hold back expressing his opinion, often became loud and stern, but that was Lance. Anybody who knew him would know that.
He was a genuine guy with a huge heart, someone who would lend a hand if he could, and did not judge people.
Lance loved a good chat especially if you had a classic car, or better still a Chrysler.
    He will be greatly missed.
    Rest in peace.
