My Friend Annette
Around 50 year ago, my family moved into Bunnett Road. We had been there awhile and one lovely summers day, my 3yo decided to stretch his legs, as is his want, and take a walk on the wild side in the street.! At the same time, apparently, Jamie had the same urge and consequently their paths crossed and they got chatting as young men do!! So Jamie invites my son to his place for a bit of a play in his sandbox and that is where I found them with Annette hovering over Glendon and wondering where he had come from!!
That was the beginning of our wonderful friendship. My admiration for Annette never waned She was a wonderful home-maker, her cooking superb, her garden always such a treat to wander through, and her handicrafts extraordinary She knitted beautifully, she sewed , made spectacular quilts all by hand and her wall hangings are exquisite. And that was the essence of my dear friend Annette.
Truly an exceptionally loving and kind hearted lady in very sense of the word . I will treasure our memories always.
Vale Annette , my friend.
