Janet Powell
13th January 1960 ~ 2nd January 2026
Janet passed away on January 2nd while fighting an uphill battle with numerous health conditions in the ICU, with her heart and kidneys quickly succumbing to her illnesses.
Janet had some really tough times throughout her life, particularly in the last 3 years, battling multiple complex health conditions, multiple hospital stays, and the loss of her husband Leslie in 2022.
Janet fought bravely though all this, always saying "I'm ok", and "I'm alright" becoming almost her mantra, not wanting to worry anyone or put them out.
When people speak of Janet, they speak of her huge heart, "a heart of gold". She will be so missed by many, and her family and friends find some solace
in the fact that she no longer needs to struggle or suffer.
Janet leaves behind 2 daughters, 2 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, and her dog Tilly, as well as close friends and family.
The Celebration for the Life of Janet
will be held in The Sanctuary Reflection Space, Bunurong Memorial Park, 790 Frankston Dandenong Rd, Dandenong South on
Tuesday 13th January 2026, commencing at 2.30pm.
