Chi lived a difficult life - through Vietnam's uprising from colonial France, World War 2, the Vietnam War and the fall of South Vietnam.
Through the hardships she faced, she strongly empathised with people in need.
She passed on her passion for social justice to her family – her children Hanh, Dzung, Tri, Hang, Phuong, Thu, Chau,
and her grandchildren Arthur, Truc Mai, Francis, Tue Duyen, and David.
Chi’s final moments were peaceful and she was surrounded by her family.

Hôm nay con tiễn Dì đi về nơi cõi Phật. Thương nhớ Dì vì từ nay chúng con sẽ xa Dì mãi. Dì đã thật sự thảnh thơi ra đi, thong dong cho một chuyến viễn du an lạc về nương với Phật. Lòng con buồn khi đưa tiễn Dì hôm nay, nhưng con tin Dì đang mỉm cười bao dung, đầy yêu thương và bình an vẫy chào chúng con ở lại.

Dear Hanh and family,
Don’t think of her as gone away. Her journey’s just begun.
Life holds so many facets. This earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting from the sorrows and the tears, in a place of warmth and comfort – where there are no days or years.
Think how she must be wishing that we could know today – how nothing but our sadness can really pass away.
And think of her as living in the hearts of those she touched, for nothing loved is ever lost and she was loved so much.

Ngày lễ Mẹ năm nay, anh chị em chúng con ở Úc, ở Pháp, ở Hoa Kỳ đều không còn được diễm phúc cài lên áo mình một bông hoa hồng đỏ, mà lại là một bông hoa màu trắng. Con nhớ Mẹ con, và con cũng rất nhớ Dì. Hình ảnh Dì hiền lành, dịu dàng, chịu đựng mà thật là đài các là hình ảnh của Dì sẽ còn mãi trong con. Ngày Dì ra đi, đường xá xa xôi, dịch bệnh tràn lan, con không về đưa tiễn Dì, con rất buồn, một ngày rất buồn với con. Con xin thắp nén tâm hương tưởng nhớ Dì, cầu nguyện Dì được mãi mãi an vui trong trong Chánh pháp của Đức Phật.
Xin chia buồn cùng gia đình các em Hạnh, Dũng, Trí, Hằng, Phượng, Thu, Châu.
Ở xa, chị vẫn nhớ đến mấy đứa, nhớ những ngày mùa Hè ở Đà Lạt, chúng ta cùng rất hồn nhiên, nghịch ngợm, cười vui trong thế giới của tuổi thơ. Ngày vui đã qua mau….Thương các em rất nhiều. Chị Nga
