To the Ulberg and Schmalkuchen fanou, sending my deepest condolences to you all from afar, especially to your aunty Sina, Dave, Cedric, Jayde, Katie and mokopuna. Ed was the epitome of friendship. Such a courageous person who never let her long term health challenges be a barrier to keep living her life to the fullest. From her big move back to Australia and her yearning to keep travelling the globe. I was hoping you and Dave would take a sneaky trip to see me in Prague when you visited your nephew in France, but I understood your limited time there. Fanou was everything to you my dear, you were the glue that held us all together. I will miss your wavering smile and wisdom. Thank you for your love and friendship, forever in my heart. Kia okioki toku wahine toa i te rangimarie (A strong and courageous woman, may you rest in eternal peace) x
