Passed away suddenly December 24th, 2024 at
Opal Western Port Bay Care Community aged 78 years.
Beloved husband of Kaylene for 48 years.
Loved father of Richard (and Jayde), Ian, Bronwyn (and Greg Skowronski),
Phillip (in heaven) and Carolyn (and James Barnes).
Loved Grandpa of Lily, Mason, Zayne and Hunter Vlasveld,
Elvia (in heaven) and Beau Skowronski.
Bill now resting in peace in God’s heavenly garden with Phillip and Elvia.
The Funeral Service in Honour of Bill's Life will be held at
St. Paul's Anglican Church, Corner of Bay and High Streets, Frankston
on Wednesday January 8th , 2025, commencing at 11.00am.
Private Cremation.
We prefer no flowers please, but you are welcome to make a donation to the
‘Seagull Memory Support Unit Lifestyle Program'
at Opal Western Port Bay Care Community for
activity equipment and resources.
Envelopes will be available at the Church.

I had the privilege off knowing bill for the past 4 years we had a lot of good times
One memorable moment would be when we would had our group discussions bill would always ask the group how many mountains is in Holland we all say not sure and with his cheeky smile he would say there is none do t you know that
Bill loved his garden he would help most of the time in the vegetable garden he once got down on his knees and planted his pumpkins outside his window
I had the privilege in been part of bill and kayleen reading the wedding vows to each other last year on there wedding anniversary
Bill I was your lollie lady every morning for a long time now you can get as many as you want
This is not good buy it is see you soon rest well bill

To Kaylene and family my deepest sympathy
Bill and I worked together in the last of the box shop days at Pilks then he was my Leading Hand for all the timber packaging supplies for all of Pilks Dandenong Float. He was such a tremendous worker, man and friend when I knew him for those years around 1990 to 1994 n maybe again bit later into 1996 etc.
We had many a challenging time due to the complexity of our roles and Bill never really lost his jovial smiling charisma.
I will miss you Bill. Just wish I met you at Silverthreads which I just joined. Apologies for not attending the funeral as I will be away.

Bill was a very much loved person in the neighborhood. He could always make you smile.
His gardening skills were outstanding and he would do anything for you. He lay a concrete foundation for our garden shed and then helped with the construction.My heart goes out to Kaylene Bronwyn Richard Ian Caroline and all the family.
I know too that Bill was a believer in Jesus.

Dear family, what a sad message to read. Our sincerest condoleances from the other side of the world.
Nicole and I cherish the time we spent while we were in Melbourne, together with a large part of the overseas family. I loved his kindness, honesty, and his very recognizable Vlasveld-sense of humor. It also still strikes me how much he looked like my late Uncle Peter. Bill will be missed.
