Doris was a long time friend of my parents, she lived across the Road from us in Moorabbin. I remember her as the life of the party, always with a smile on her face and a funny story to tell. I remember having my first Lime Spider drink around her kitchen table with all the kids. Most amazing drink I’d ever had. Her house was open and warm just like her. I was lucky to have experienced her warmth first hand. God Bless Doris and her family xx

Doris was our neighbour and her children our friends.
We used to go between her house and ours often being fed by’Mrs Brown’ along the way. Her choc-chip cookies were to die for!!
Doris had a zest for life and enjoyed a good sing along. I remember her rendition of ‘Elenor Rigby’ by the Beetles, she was always singing or humming along to some tune.
You will be missed Doris, so glad that I knew you❤️

Auntie Doris, I have such warm and caring memories of you. When I visited as a young child, you stayed up with me throughout the first few nights, whilst I adjusted to Aussie time. You were always so very kind and patient. I also know that my dad is going to miss you dearly. You are very much loved here in the UK.

Your service is 3,30am here, however we are going to try and make it online. Love to all of our Aussie family.

We managed to catch the service live, Robyn. How lovely to see the family photos of everyone, as well as auntie Doris with Nanna Spencer and Grandad, Uncle Harry and Dad. It touched my heart to hear the stories of family sing songs. I remember them too. A very special lady xx
