COVID-19 Update 09/07/2020 - Important Message from the Managing Director & Founder of Templeton Family Funerals
With the ever evolving COVID-19 situation, our priority is to protect the health and well-being of our team, client families & the community. We understand how important our role as a funeral director is when it comes to celebrating the life of your loved one “your way”. We face some challenging times ahead and funerals may be “a little different” while we fight off COVID-19.
From August 2nd 2020, Stage 4 restrictions apply. The maximum attendees for burials & chapel services are ten (10) people. The ten-person limit includes family members but does not include funeral directors or cemetery employees. Funeral ceremonies are no longer allowed to be held in a private residence.
These attendee restrictions are in addition to the four-square metres per person social distancing directives. You must wear a face covering whenever you leave home, unless you have a lawful reason for not doing so. You should not attend a funeral if you are feeling unwell. We understand the added pain these new restrictions place on families, and our hearts are with those who are affected by these unprecedented times.
As directed by the Chief Health Officer each person who attends the funeral service must provide their name and a contact number.
Sanitiser is available at all our venues and we ask if you could please sanitise on entry & exit.
We are offering recording & live streaming of services where possible and we certainly can arrange a memorial service at a later date.
Unfortunately, due to health concerns we are unable to provide a guest signing book on the day of service. We encourage you to leave a tribute on your loved ones personal notice which will be placed on our website https://www.templetonfamilyfunerals.com.au/ this can also be linked to Facebook.
For the safety of our family and yours we have decided that all arrangements will be made via phone & email. Our office doors are closed to appointments but please know we are still available and working busily inside. Whether your wishes are for a direct cremation, burial or a service, we are always available, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to look after your family and loved one.
